This Privacy Policy describes how Taner Şenyurt ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Orbitron mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information Collected Automatically

Anonymous Device Identifier: We use a non-personal, vendor-specific device identifier (Apple's identifierForVendor) solely to associate community-created levels with their creator. This identifier is reset when the App is uninstalled and cannot be used to identify you personally or track you across other apps or websites.
Technical Data: Our third-party infrastructure provider (Google Firebase) may automatically collect limited technical data such as IP addresses, device type, and operating system version for the purpose of service operation, security, and abuse prevention. This data is not used for advertising or user profiling.

1.2 Information You Provide Voluntarily

Display Name: If you choose to publish a community level, you may provide a display name that will be visible to other users.
Community Level Data: Puzzle layouts and metadata you voluntarily submit when publishing a level to the community.

1.3 Information Stored Locally

Game Progress: Level completion status, star ratings, unlocked packs, and user preferences (theme, audio settings) are stored exclusively on your device using local storage. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be transparent about what we do not collect:

Real names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses
Location data (GPS, Wi-Fi, or cellular-based)
Photos, contacts, or other personal files
Financial or payment information
Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
Browsing history or cross-app tracking data
Health, fitness, or biometric data

3. How We Use Your Information

The limited data we collect is used exclusively for:

Enabling the community level sharing feature
Associating published levels with their creator
Maintaining and improving the App's functionality
Preventing abuse and ensuring service security

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, user profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the App's core functionality.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses Google Firebase Firestore as its cloud database for storing community-created levels. Firebase is operated by Google LLC and is subject to Google's privacy practices.

We do not integrate any advertising networks, analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics), social media SDKs, or other third-party tracking services.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties, except:

Community Levels: When you voluntarily publish a level, the level data and your chosen display name become visible to other App users.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
Safety: We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of users or the public.

6. Data Retention

Local Data: Game progress and settings are stored on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the App.
Community Levels: Published levels are retained on our servers until you request their deletion or until we determine they violate our terms of use.
Technical Logs: Any technical data collected by Firebase is subject to Google's data retention policies.

7. Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your data at any time:

Local Data: Uninstall the App to delete all locally stored data.
Community Levels: To request deletion of your published levels and associated data from our servers, contact us at the email address listed below. We will process your request within 30 days.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data we handle, including:

Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL) between the App and our servers
Firebase Security Rules restricting unauthorized data access
Minimal data collection principle — we only collect what is strictly necessary

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The App does not require account creation, and the community level feature uses only anonymous device identifiers.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will promptly delete such information.

10. International Data Transfers

Community level data may be stored on Google Firebase servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. By using the community features, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations. Google Firebase complies with applicable data protection frameworks.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Deletion: Request deletion of your data from our servers
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
Portability: Request your data in a portable format
Objection: Object to certain processing of your data

12. European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the legal basis for processing your information is:

Legitimate Interest: Operating and maintaining the App's core functionality

13. California Users (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of the sale of personal information — we do not sell your data

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

15. Indemnification

By using the App, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Developer from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, your violation of this Privacy Policy, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
